Our
mission
To establish a permanent robotics
organization in the 285 cooridor moutain communities of Conifer, Aspen
Park, and Evergreen, whose purpose is to help our young people
discover the fun and excitement of science, technology and
engineering through challenges introduced to them through the
FIRST robotics competitions.

We are Team Blitz, the 285 Corridor
Area Robotics Club covering, Conifer, Baily, Aspen Park, and
Evergreen. Our club is comprised of hard working mountian-grown students
ages 13-18 under parent leadership with community volunteers
and technical mentors. Technical mentors guide the students
in developing game strategies, design development, build and
testing of robots to compete in the US First Challenges.
By participating in Team Blitz students are exposed to a
large variety of learning opportunities. Students not only
compete in the robotic challenges, but they learn how to design,
build, integrate and test the robot. This requires learning
design tools such as computer aided design software, learning
the principles of kinematics and dynamics, learning
how to operate a variety of tooling to machine necessary parts,
and learning how to program the robot for autonomous and remote
control. In addition, the some of the students learn other
skills such as 3-D animation, web design, and general business
organization.
Our team is unique in that it was originally established by a group of home schoolers. The team is now comprised of students from several different schools including public, private, charter, and home schools. This diverse group of students have a great of way of working together, each bringing his or her own experience and talents to the team.
